I am posting this on behalf of my mother in law. She has a car that was damaged at her sisters house (my mother-in-law lived with her sister) during the wind storm Cincinnati had last year. I currently receive bi-weekly unemployment checks. I live in California, but in a few months, I will be relocating to Texas. Basically I just need to know if I will be receive insurance from another state. Thanks!

im a california driver and i feel that the cop gave me a chance he let me drive away with my car even though my car was not insured and is unregistered and my licence/id was expired .my licence is still good but my id is expired so how much will the fine be for no insurance and did the cop really give me a break or what???

3 days after renewing car insurance in April this year, a total baboon slammed into my car whilst I was driving home, writing my car off. 3rd parry has admitted liability, and all costs for car replacement, car hire, paid for by them. since cancelling my old insurer , and going with someone new to save 200 bucks a year, they ( my old insurer ) are saying I will be charged for the time you have received insurance cover as well as cancellation fee . Now , I can possibly swallow the cancellation fee crap, but, I have already paid them the premium over the period concerned ( insurance renewed on 20th April, accident on 23rd April). so what do they mean by their statement ? Okay, so I'm trying to understand car insurance. It says my premium is $833.75 which I guess is the total amount for the insurance for the entire year. I pay $157/month for the full year which is $1000 over that premium. Is that correct? Can I change my month to month plan to annual and just pay the rest of what I owe up front to save me money? Why does it cost so much more month to month?
